Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum’s “A Call to Arms” Exhibit: Through Jan. 20, Wheeling.
Visitors will be able to relive their childhood memories with this exhibit of military-themed toys, memorabilia and artifacts. The museum is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through the end of December, except for major holidays. WV State Farm Museum - Holiday Light Festival: Dec. 7-17, Point Pleasant.
Visit the West Virginia State Farm Museum where more than three million lights cover every tree, bush, shrub and building throughout the grounds. Drive through the area to view the lights, visit the Country Kitchen where children get free hot chocolate and cookies, and stop by the Country Store to see Santa Claus. Hours are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night. There is no admission fee but donations are encouraged. For more information, call 304-675-5737.
Greenbrier Valley Theatre Presents “A Christmas Carol”: Dec.13, 15, 16, 19, and 21, Lewisburg.
Enjoy this famous Dickens classic told through the eyes of Scrooge’s deceased business partner, Jacob Marley. This is a family event filled with ghosts, lively dances and uplifting sentiment about the spirit of Christmas. Ticket prices are $17 for adults, $14 for seniors and $10 for students and children. Breakfast with Santa at North Bend State Park: Dec. 15, Cairo.
Santa Claus will be stopping by North Bend State Park for breakfast on his way back to the North Pole. He needs to find out what everyone wants for Christmas, so be sure to bring your Christmas wish list. Breakfast with Santa is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Adult buffet is $7.50 and children under six eat free with the purchase of an adult buffet. Children under 11 eat for $3.95. "The Snow Queen" - River City Youth Ballet: Dec. 14-15, Montgomery.
Celebrate the holidays with “The Snow Queen.” A cast of fifty young dancers perform new choreography set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev. Chief Logan State Park lights up the night with Christmas in the Park – a holiday light event. Enjoy beautiful light displays as you drive through the park. All displays light up at dark and stay lit until 10 p.m. Santa Claus visits each night except Sundays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting Dec. 3 through Dec. 22. The park’s gift shop also is open each night except Sundays. Admission to Christmas in the Park is free, but donations are accepted. The Old Brick Playhouse and the Durbin Greenbrier Valley Railroad invite you to enjoy favorite Christmas traditions coupled with hilarious zany antics with “Yuletide Follies,” a cabaret-style Christmas show that includes familiar songs, comedy sketches, and holiday scenes.
