Webster Wildwater Weekend River Festival: April 5-6, Webster County.

Those looking for Class II-III whitewater action can head to Webster County April 5 and 6 for the 2008 Webster Wildwater Weekend River Festival.  The almost-continuous rapids of the Elk River provide the setting for the weekend’s downriver race where experienced paddlers will find all the thrills they’re seeking.  Novices also are welcome to compete and plenty of safety boaters will be on hand for the race.  Saturday’s popular slalom race consists of a series of numbered gates, some facing downstream and some facing upstream, that paddlers must navigate in order or take penalties on their race times. Point Pleasant River Museum Annual River Art Show: April 10-13, Point Pleasant.

2nd Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival:  April 11-12, Lewisburg.

Chocolate Lover’s Day:  April 12, Morgantown.

Fenton Master Craftsman Seminars: April 12, Williamstown.
