SOUTH CHARLESTON - The West Virginia Division of Tourism this week is mailing nomination forms for its annual "Stars of the Industry" awards program, which recognizes the best organizations, destinations, advertising and news coverage in the state's tourism industry.

Businesses and individuals in the state tourism industry, as well as media outlets that have covered tourism-related issues from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004 are eligible for the awards program. There is no entry fee and the deadline is Sept. 3.

Entry forms and complete information are included in a registration package for the Governor's Conference on Tourism or may be downloaded from the Division of Tourism's online newsroom at www.callwvanews.com or the industry information section of www.callwva.com.

The Division of Tourism will present the awards during the Oct. 13-15 conference at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, W.Va. Those with questions about the awards program may contact Caryn Gresham or Matt Turner at 1-800-225-5982.
