Approximately 100 vendors to be in attendance at
Feb. 8 Tourism Day at the Legislature
CHARLESTON , W.Va. – From restaurants and hotels to health spas and ski resorts, approximately 100 vendors will offer booths and displays of their wares during the 2008 Tourism Day at the Legislature on Friday, Feb. 8, at the State Capitol. This crowd-favorite theme day is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The annual event is designed to show legislators and the public the growing importance of the state’s tourism industry. Travel spending by all overnight and day visitors in West Virginia generates more than $3.97 billion; while visitor spending in West Virginia directly supports approximately 44,000 jobs with earnings of about $854 million.
