Get more for your tourism advertising dollars
The Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts workshop

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – What’s better than getting a good deal for your advertising dollars? Getting twice – or more – the value because you’ve partnered with the West Virginia Division of Tourism through its Matching Advertising Partnership Program (MAPP)!

A free MAPP workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30 from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Ramada Inn located at 20 Scott Avenue, Morgantown, W.Va. A presentation on the application process will be presented by Anna Plantz while Eric Ayersman will explain the reimbursement and audit processes. These Division of Tourism representatives also will offer assistance with application writing.

“Each year, the West Virginia Tourism Commission and the West Virginia Division of Tourism work with industry and businesses of all sizes to help them get the most from their advertising dollars through the Matching Advertising Partnership Program,” said Cindy Coffindaffer, Community Relations and Marketing Director of the Greater Morgantown CVB. “By offering this workshop to tourism businesses in the region, we hope to see stronger promotion and more visitors for this area.”

“There are two levels of matching advertising programs for small to large tourism advertising partnerships and a separate program for fairs and festivals,” Coffindaffer said. “Working together with tourism industry partners, we are able to help local businesses and events find the best matches for them within the program.”

To register for the workshop, contact Cindy Coffindaffer at the CVB Visitors’ Center at 304-292-5081 or by e-mail at ccoffindaffer@tourmorgantown.com.
