Charleston , W.Va. - Whether you’re a pro or an amateur, the free 2008-2009 West Virginia Golf Guide will help you find the course that’s right for you.
This 28-page, full-color publication is a must for any golfer looking for information about the state’s many courses. West Virginia’s golf courses offer breathtaking views and sweet serenity. These challenging courses can be found at city and state parks, atop scenic mountains or hidden in tranquil valleys.
“This guide is a detailed source of information for golfers about the many fine golf courses West Virginia has to offer,” said Tourism Commissioner Betty Carver.
Not only does this publication provide a listing of all the courses in the state, but it also includes details about other West Virginia activities such as hiking, biking, fishing and whitewater rafting.
“We expect this golf guide to be very successful in encouraging golfers from across the region to play and experience more of the Mountain State,” said Carver.
The new golf guide features many courses, including Glade Spring’s Stonehaven Course, Snowshoe Mountain’s Raven Golf Club and the Twisted Gun Golf Course.
The West Virginia Golf Guide is free and can be obtained by contacting the state tourism office at 1-800-CALL-WVA or www.wvtourism.com.
