Get Together for Fun Winter “Girlfriend Getaways”
CHARLESTON , W.Va. — Take time to keep your friendships warm this winter with a “girlfriend getaway.” Whether you want to dabble in new experiences, explore unknown destinations or simply unwind in peace, you can find a “getaway” worth getting to in West Virginia.

Quilting class and bed-and-breakfast stay, Feb. 8 – 9, 2008. The Stitching House and Sew Much More is offering a two-session class in "Weaver's Fever," a bargello-style lap, wall, or crib quilt using a Jackie Robinson design with rotary cutting and strip piecing. Fabric kits are included, or choose and cut your own. Sessions run Feb. 8, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The class comes with a special package for a two-night stay at Riverside Bed & Breakfast in Buckhannon.
